As I have seen they come here during their daughter's
delivery or d-i-l's delivery.May be not everyone, but most of them is for that reason.Parents also I guess are really concerned about their daughter or d-i-l, & I agree that its very very difficult if your parents are not with you when you give birth to a baby.

They would have married for 5 to 6 yrs & settled in US,but still they do not want to call them to show the places here.
Only when the time comes to look after their kids,they want to call them.I really pity the grand parents
who just come here to take care of grand children.In retired age they have to be doing day care ,as the day care
centres are expensive also,they would spend one month's fee for their parents flight charge :)

I feel grand parents would definitely not have much patience & energy to run behind kids. In our apartment I have
seen a few grandparents taking their grand children for walk,cycling, to play in the park -its really a difficult task for them

to control them.From early morning till evening they have to keep them engaged,feed them breakfast,lunch,put them to
sleep................when do they get time to relax in their retired life :(

Its such a nice feeling being a mother & enjoy the motherhood,but so many of them are not feeling that its imp. to be
with the kids,i think once they become grandparents they might realise it :)

Grandmothers will be bit busy with the household work,looking after babies,watching some fav. serials( if they get time!) & also educate the kid !
Grandfathers will feel so lonely being with everyone..........they will get depressed & eagerly waiting to get back to India.

But still.......... <i style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold;
